T. C. Chiu was born in China, and in his early childhood developed
an earnest |
|
interest in art.
He began studying art in China and continued after coming to
America |
|
in 1974 by taking courses at the Arts Students' League in
New York. His longtime |
| exploration of both American and Chinese arts has broaden his
horizon and influenced |
|
his philosophy. Thus, his
delicate work is the combination of the essential qualities of |
| traditional realism and contemporary
painting techniques. Besides his formal training, |
| his personal observations and experiments have
resulted in the individualistic originality |
|
evidenced by his work. Accomplished in a wide rage of media,
he incessantly |
| challenges his mystery of watercolor, oil and print making. |
